Hey you! C’mon! Take a little journey with me over the next few days! I will tell why the course of these days mean so much to me! For one, it was the beginning of something new—a new path that is part of my destiny!
Four years ago on this day, I set sail to Georgia! 😊 Talking about excited! This country girl was so ready for a new beginning! I remember meeting my cousin at her parents’ house and we later hit the road. Of course she drove majority of the way!
Let me tell y’all this, I had NEVER driven in any traffic that compares to Atlanta traffic. And I’d only driven in Jackson, MS once! So just imagine the fear I had since I’d heard so many tales of Atlanta traffic. 😩 All I knew was HWY 82 basically.
After I arrived in Georgia, I checked into an extended stay in East Cobb. It was all new to me! To this day, I still can’t believe I made such a BOLD move! I even had many who didn’t want me to leave home and I found myself discouraged at one point, but one thing for sure, I wasn’t backing down on what God had revealed to me!
I was 23 when I left Mississippi! I guess you can say I came here to “scope out the land.” 😊 I contacted the realtor that I was doing business with and he had a list of houses that fit my preferences that we could scope out! I looked over the list of houses but I wasn’t “feeling” any of them! I found a website and while browsing the site, my eyes came across a beautiful home. I told the realtor about it and gave the information that was provided and he contacted the owner!
• Check back tomorrow to see what happened the following day! But before you go, here’s some encouragement for you:
Your faith will take you places you never dreamed you’d go! The thing about faith is that you have to put it in action! You have to work it! If I wouldn’t have taken those dreams and visions that the Lord revealed to me to heart, I probably would’ve never moved out of Mississippi.
Your faith will lead you to your destiny! Be willing to go even if it means leaving everything behind! Remember Abraham?! 😊
“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.” —Genesis 12:1, 4 KJV
