“I can’t see what God is doing. Ughhh! This is so frustrating! Why can’t I do things my way?” 

When will we learn to stop kicking and screaming and just trust God and His process? We all start out excited to receive what’s on the other side of the process but as time passes, that excitement slowly fades away. Why is that? The process may be longer than we expected and we find our patience running thin. We want what we want NOW without having to wait. We think we deserve it NOW! But do we fully understand what God is doing in the midst? Is He developing our character? Is He trying to deepen our trust in Him? Whatever He’s doing, we should believe it’s something for our benefit. So the next time you find yourself becoming patient, look to Jesus and trust Him with all of your heart! 

Father, thank You for being so good to us. Thank You for knowing and understanding us so very well. Thank You for even being patient with us in our ignorance. You have an expected end for us; help us to be reminded of that truth. Forgive us for being impatient and desiring to do things our way. Help us to trust in You with our whole hearts and not to lean on our own understand. Help us to acknowledge You in all our ways so that You can direct our paths. Thank You for being who You are! Amen!
